This type of welding has another name, metal inert gas (MIG) or metal active gas (MAG) welding. It’s often called the easiest type of welding, however it’s worth noting that it won’t be the most suitable option for every job. Welders use MIG/MAG for heavy work loads, big constructions, car manufacturing, furniture building, service jobs and other similar projects. It wouldn’t be smart to use this method to weld small metal pieces because a task like that requires precision that semi-automatics cannot provide.
